The title of this blog was inspired by one of the most common lunch selections served in the cafeteria in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s – the Turkey Manhattan – and a quote by on the http://www.tchowe.com message boards where the word “turkey” was fittingly misspelled.

Anyway tell the guys that post on here as anonymous to man up, strap on flannel, walk down to the lower parking lot (they damn sure didn’t drive to school), get into that Chess Club candy bar money, buy a @#$% and let ‘er rip. If it goes bad, run for the “Bridge.” If you can’t out run “Rookie,” you suck. Later, there is the Turley Manhattan served promptly @ 10:30 AM in the lunch room.

At this time, there is a separate “Turley Manhattan” group on Facebook. In Facebook, simply search “The Turley Manhattan” and join the group. Eventually, we will combine the blog and FB group.
